Every week I and two other ladies host a 30-minute radio show called Lip Service, broadcast live on 91.7 KVRX. The show started small in 2007 but has since evolved into a powerful space for women in the community, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their issues made visible. Past shows have covered a wide variety of topics such as pornography, sexism, eating disorders, weight discrimination, GLBT issues, sex work, the glass ceiling, and the semantics of the word “feminism”.
